The 5 pin is for adapting communications systems existing on the Harley and Gold Wing motorcycles to plug in a headphone earbud, custom or universal-fit earbud product.

5 pin will work on Harley and Gold Wing systems to utilize custom ear buds for audio only, no microphone. 7 pin adapter only is required when using microphone on a Harley.
